Every day should be Earth Day, and we’re not the only ones who think so! 4Ocean is helping to save our planet everyday and we thank them for their incredible efforts!
4Ocean is a global movement actively removing trash from the ocean and coastlines while inspiring individuals to work together for cleaner oceans, one pound at a time. Founded by Alex Schulze and Andrew Cooper, two surfers who witnessed the catastrophic effects of plastic pollution firsthand, 4Ocean’s core mission is to provide ocean sustainability, recycling awareness, earth preservation and the creation of global economies.
4Ocean employs captains and cleanup crews from Florida to Bali to clean our oceans and coastlines seven days a week. Clean up projects are funded through the sale of 4Ocean bracelets. The bracelets are made from recycled materials and each bracelet sold allows for 1 pound of trash to be removed from the ocean. Through worldwide support and the purchase of 4Ocean bracelets, they have managed to pull nearly 600,000 pounds of trash from the ocean and coastlines!
In addition to being an advocate for celebrating Earth Day everyday, 4Ocean also raised their efforts by partnering with Earth Day Network to plant trees.
“Not only will we be removing plastic from the ocean in support of Earth Day Network’s End Plastic Pollution campaign for Earth Day 2018, we are also supporting their Canopy Project which has the overall goal of planting 7.8 billion trees by the year 2020 to help combat the worst effects of global climate change. This goal coincides with the 50th Anniversary of Earth Day and represents one tree planted for every person on the planet!” – 4Ocean
For the month of April, 4Ocean is selling a limited edition Earth Day bracelet to further fund their ocean clean up and tree planting projects. To learn more about their mission to rid the oceans of plastic, visit www.4ocean.com.
