Return and Refund Policy
At The Humble Co.
We do not accept returns of products in good condition. Once your order has been shipped, please do not send items back to us.
This is a deliberate choice. Return shipments generate additional transport, packaging, and handling that we want to avoid. Freight costs have also increased significantly in recent years, and unnecessary logistics work against our goal of keeping prices accessible.
If you decide not to use a product, we ask that you dispose of it locally – through your municipality's recycling system or by passing it on to someone who will use it.
If your order arrives damaged or incorrect, we will of course make it right. Please contact us at info@thehumble.co with your order number and a photo of the issue.
Purchases via our website
Purchases made through our website are intended for personal use only. We operate our online store to make our products easily available to individuals and households who wish to make more sustainable choices in their daily routines. Therefore, purchases may not be made for the purpose of resale or commercial distribution.
We actively monitor for bulk or repeated orders that may indicate intent to resell, and we reserve the right to cancel or limit any orders that appear to be made for commercial purposes. This ensures that our products remain accessible to end customers and that our pricing and logistics remain aligned with our sustainability goals.
If you wish to stock or distribute our products commercially, please contact our sales team to discuss wholesale opportunities and approved distribution channels.
Invoicing and VAT
We do not issue VAT invoices for direct-to-consumer purchases made through our website. Our web store is designed for private customers only, and our receipts are formatted accordingly.
If you represent a business, organization, or institution and require a VAT invoice or other documentation for accounting purposes, please contact our customer service team before placing your order. We can then advise you on the appropriate ordering process or redirect you to one of our authorized distributors who can accommodate business purchases.
This policy helps us maintain clarity between consumer and trade transactions while ensuring compliance with international VAT and accounting standards.
Returns and shipping costs
Orders that we determine to have been made for resale or commercial purposes are not eligible for free returns or shipping refunds. In such cases, the customer is responsible for all return costs, and any shipping fees paid for the original order will not be refunded.
Our standard return policy applies to all other orders made for personal use. We always aim to be fair, transparent, and consistent in handling returns and claims, and we encourage all customers to reach out to us if there is any uncertainty regarding return eligibility.
Additional information
We reserve the right to request additional details — such as company affiliation, order history, or purchase intent — in order to determine whether an order is intended for resale. This helps us protect both our brand integrity and our sustainability objectives.
If you have any questions or special circumstances, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us at support@thehumble.co. Our customer service team will be happy to assist you and provide clarification.
Reclamations (Defective or Damaged Products)
If you receive a defective or damaged product, we will of course take care of it promptly and with minimal inconvenience to you. Please contact us at info@thehumble.co with your order number and a short description (and photos, if possible) of the issue.
Once your claim is reviewed and approved, we will not ask you to return the product. Instead, you may dispose of it responsibly, and we will arrange either a replacement or a refund, depending on your preference. This approach avoids unnecessary transport and further emissions while ensuring you receive fair compensation.
Important Notice on Orders
Since September, we have adjusted our e-commerce operations to further align with our sustainability strategy. Shipping very small orders has proven neither environmentally nor economically viable. To make our operations more efficient, we kindly encourage customers to consider adding multiple products to their order when possible.
If you only need a single product, we recommend checking your local stores or online retailers that already carry our products. Purchasing locally reduces transportation distances, supports local businesses, and helps reduce the environmental impact associated with single-item deliveries.
Together, these small decisions make a big difference in creating a more responsible and sustainable e-commerce ecosystem.
VAT and customs information
All prices displayed on our website include 25% Value Added Tax (VAT) for orders delivered within the European Union (EU).
For orders shipped to countries outside the EU, VAT will not be applied. Please note that The Humble Co. is not responsible for any import duties, customs fees, or local taxes that may be charged once your order arrives in your country. These charges are the responsibility of the customer and must be paid directly to the local customs authorities or delivery partner upon receipt.
We recommend checking with your local customs office before placing an order to avoid unexpected fees or delays.
